| Just because it's "free", doesn't mean it's use is unlimited or without terms and conditions. | Each content provider included in the Gimme Free Content search engine has its own terms of use with regard to content they provide. In some cases, the terms-of-use vary depending on the content type, use case, catagory of content, and the provider's definition of "free". Some providers mean "royalty free" and others simply mean "free to copy and reuse" without any expectation of payment. It's important that you review each provider's terms of use whenever you decide to use their information. Good Advice from Robin Good: No matter which sources you use, we recommend always crediting and — and where possible — informing the authors that their work is used and published somewhere. To someone who has been so generous to offer his creative work for your own use, it is not much to offer full credit, acknowledgment, a link back and information about where the image is used. In this way, we allow the authors to use such free use for good credit and to show potential customers how their work is used.
Be cautious, read the fine print, and follow each providers' terms-of-use to the letter. ;-) |
